These face sunscreens are strong enough for a day spent outside, but many of them are also suitable for daily use. However, I personally don’t like the thought of children accidentally inhaling the stuff, and it’s easy to miss a spot or apply too little, so these will make great reapplication options for us when we are outdoors. (If you’re a new mom, I suggest lathering your little one up before dressing them, before leaving the house.) I’m SO grateful to have continuous-spray options, and I will most definitely be using them in moderation this summer. * * To be clear, I still prefer to use sunscreen cream or lotion to continuous-spray formulas on small babies and children. This sunscreen would please even the most high-maintenance bathing beauty, and you can’t beat the value. This non-greasy, incredibly lightweight formula sinks right into skin without a trace of white film. Badger Broad Spectrum SPF 25 Unscented Sunscreen Lotion is kinda’ fabulous. It also won’t run into your eyes, or sting them, making this a great pick for the whole family. The formula isn’t greasy, and once it’s rubbed in, there is minimal whiteness (which is rare for a water-resistant, mineral-based sunscreen). This sunscreen lasts and lasts, in and out of the water, and it doesn’t poison you or the ocean’s coral reefs (none of these picks will). BANXBlock Fragrance Free SPF 40 is not only the official sunscreen of the LA County Lifeguards and the US Water Polo Team, but countless surfers and marathoners love this stuff, too.Now you’re all grown up, and you know better than to use products made with mineral oil and synthetic fragrance, but you still kind of miss them, don’t you? With organic, plant-based oils to hydrate, and organic Cocoa Powder to scavenge free radicals (while smelling delicious), you can now safely reminisce. Surf Mud Body Oil SPF 15 will remind you of the “tropical” tanning oils you loved as a teenager.Babo Botanicals Sheer Zinc Continuous Spray Sunscreen SPF 30: Can I get another Hallelujah? Moms and lazy men everywhere can rejoice in the long-time-coming release of a safe sunscreen spray. Acure Organics Sunscreen Spray SPF 30: Hallelujah. You can certainly use this on the kiddos, but I like to save this one for myself. It is also water-resistant up to 40 minutes. Beaut圜ounter Broad Spectrum SPF 30 All Over Sunscreen is a very grown-up, luxurious formula the lightweight, creamy consistency makes it easy to rub in and it goes on sheer, never chalky. They also make an unscented version and a TSA-approved travel size. The finish is sheer and the formula is very moisturizing, but not greasy, and it has a light, natural citrus scent. It contains a whopping 20% non-nano zinc oxide, which not only protects from both UVA and UBV rays, but also soothes skin. Suntegrity Natural Mineral Sunscreen for Body SPF 30 is simply stellar.(These are all suitable for children as well.) I get it: you want something that isn’t too heavy, greasy or chalky-looking. Read on and stock up now, and hopefully the only other choice you’ll have to make this summer is between a margarita and a paloma. There are some coupon codes at the bottom for you, too. I’ve tried them all, (no, really, all of them) which makes this entry a little long, but it’s for your benefit. Sunscreen Stars is always one of my most popular posts of the year, and it’s my personal favorite to write. Every year, we are offered more Clean options, which is great, (!) but some are better than others in the performance department. Seriously, where did May go?! I know you probably haven’t even thought about what’s been sitting in your beach bag for the last year, but it’s time to stock up on safe, nontoxic, eco-friendly sunscreen for you and your family.
